A key objective of our in-house laboratory is to ensure that all incoming raw materials and finished products meet our strict quality standards
for potency and purity Such an effort constitutes an ongoing process where continuous improvement is the norm.
One of the analysis techniques currently employed is High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). This technique allows for the efficient separation and quantification of organic compounds such as water and fat soluble vitamins, botanical components, cosmetic ingredients and amino acids. Another very useful technique actively employed for the quantification of various vitamins and dry plant extracts is the Ultraviolet/Visible (UV/VIS) spectrophotometer. This technique has also proven effective in the characterization of liquid herbal extracts and certain essential oils and fragrances for potency and consistency. Other analytical techniques deemed necessary to our QA/QC efforts are Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), Atomic Absorption (AA) spectroscopy and Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy TLC is considered ideal for the detailed qualitative testing of botanical materials. This technique verifies that the numerous constituents present in a botanical sample are consistent with those naturally occurring in certified botanical standards. GC is another chromatographic technique applied to volatile or thermally stable materials such as those occurring in essential oils and fragrances, nutritional oils and more. AA is a technique ideally suited for the analysis of minerals and trace elements. FTIR is the technique that provides information for the organic functional groups present. Its application provides a spectral response which is unique for each material known as the IR "fingerprint." When this fingerprint matches its corresponding reference spectrum then its chemical identity is assured. In order to assist the instrumental methods of analysis we also employ classical methods of analysis utilizing such techniques as titrimetry, gravimetry and colorimetry - always in compliance with AOAC, USP and FCC protocols.
To ensure the success of our analytical efforts, sophisticated sample preparation techniques are utilized, such as Liquid-Liquid and Solid Phase micro-ex-traction, reflux condensing, distillation, filtration, cetrifugation and chemical derivatization and digestion. These preparatory techniques support the analysis of complex botanical and whole food products, multiples and support" formulations.

To ensure the accuracy and reproducibility of our analysis results, our lab continuously validates standard operating procedures and method protocols through collaborative efforts with numerous certified third-party labs. This process serves to minimize potential analysis variations between different labs.

Another objective of our in-house laboratory is to employ the full array of our analytical resources to ensure the purity of our products. Therefore, it becomes essential that in addition to guaranteeing potency, we also guarantee the absence of unwanted components such as insecticides, pesticides, heavy metals, harmful micro-organisms and residual solvents.

Yet another important function stability testing. Such testing will maintain their full potency date indicated on our label. Also, the best possible package
for our lab is accelerated allows us to ensure that products and stability within the expiration this testing allows us to provide configuration for a given product.
