Black Cohosh (Cimacifuga racemosa): Anti-spasmodic used for cramps, muscle and menstrual pain. Traditionally considered a "female" herb, Black Cohosh has been used to balance female hormones and regulate menstrual periods and sometimes to induce labor and regulates contractions. Also used as a cough suppressant and expectorant, a diaphoretic for eliminating toxins, an anti-inflammatory in arthritis and to lower high blood pressure.

Black cohosh: Traditionally used as a powerful relaxant, useful in the relief of rheumatic pains, rheumatoid arthritis, osteo-arthritis, muscular and neurological pain and rheumatoid neuralgia, and to beneficially aid the female reproductive system, normalizing menstruation, relieving menstrual cramps and regaining normal hormonal activity.  Helps relieve menstrual cramps and symptoms of menopause, hot flashes/flushes, irritability, mood swings and sleep disturbances. It is also used for PMS, menstrual irregularities, uterine spasms and has been indicated for reducing inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and neuralgia.
