Astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus): An immune stimulant thought to inhibit tumor growth and often used to help reduce the side effects of chemotherapy. Astragalus supports the production of interferons (proteins which cells produce to fight viral infections). May be used daily as a tonic before colds start. Review:

I used this with my son who had RSV several times in his first year of life. I had read that he had a high risk of developing asthma. I began dosing him several times weekly until his frequent cough began to go away. Praise the Lord he rarely has a cold that settles into a cough and no asthma.
